Most Environmentally Friendly School

2010 Winner: Glenmore Elementary

This is a tough category because so many of our schools are real champions of environmental issues, but Glenmore stuck out this year by earning its ‘Green School’ certification from the SEEDS Foundation. It has a virtually paperless administration, school garden and compost, weekly grounds clean-up and participates in walk-to-school and bike-to-school programs.

Runners up are KLO Middle School and Casorso Elementary.
