Rutland Town Centre Parks and Open Space Plan

Additional park and open space will greatly enhance the redevelopment of the Rutland Town Centre.  It is envisioned that there could be a mix of residential, commercial, cultural, civic and retail uses that create a lively destination in Rutland for people to live, work and play.  Park space will be a vital component.

A Public Hearing was held on June 10, 2008 changing the Official Community Plan Future Land Use designation to reflect the Parks Division’s interest in creating future parkland in the Rutland Town Centre.

The park space will be developed as redevelopment occurs over the next several years.
