Open map viewer.

Step 2. Place cursor over area of interest and zoom in.

Step 3. Select the "i" Tool tool and click on the area to retrieve information.

Step 4. The Road Usage information will be displayed showing the contractor, purpose, length of project and contact information.

ROADS DAILY UPDATE

Highway 33 traffic pattern changes
July 26 - Beginning Monday July 26 and ending Friday July 30, eastbound traffic on Highway 33 will experience pattern changes between Springfield and Garner Roads. 

Ethel Street closure
July 22 - Effective immediately, Ethel Street will be closed from Crowley Avenue to Weddell Place for construction of utility upgrades. Alternate access is available to businesses via Weddell Place.

Cawston Avenue closure
July 8 - Beginning 7 a.m. Thursday, July 8, Cawston Avenue between Cannery Lane and St. Paul Street will be closed for construction of the Cawston Avenue multi-use corridor and timely utility upgrades. 

Completion is scheduled for November 2010.

Construction will be completed in phases, beginning at Cannery Lane on the north side of Cawston Avenue and ending at the connection of High Road with the Rails with Trails corridor.

Construction from St. Paul to Richter streets is anticipated to begin in mid July. Ethel Street to Gordon Drive is slated to begin at the beginning of August. Richter to Ethel streets will begin in mid August, and the final segment along Pheasant Street to High Road will begin in the middle of September.

Cawston Avenue will be open to local residents only during construction. Detours will be marked along the route and traffic personnel will be on site directing motorists.

Transit route #7 Glenmore will be re-routed to Wilson Avenue between Richter Street and Gordon Drive during construction. All transit stops on Cawston Avenue and Graham Street will be closed and riders are asked to use temporary stops located on Wilson Avenue. Service will be reinstated on Cawston Avenue upon completion of the project.

Houghton Road closure
July 5 - Beginning 7 a.m. Monday, July 5, Houghton Road between Nickel and Hollywood Roads will be closed for construction of the Houghton Road multi-use corridor.  Visitors to Ben Lee Park are asked to use the north parking lot located off of McPhee Street.  Completion of this project is expected by October 2010.

Gordon Drive bridge closure
Gordon Drive is closed between Lexington and Cook Roads for the reconstruction of Gordon Drive bridge and widening of the roadway to four lanes.

Gordon Drive is expected to reopen Friday, September 10, 2010.

Detours will be marked along the route and traffic personnel will be on site directing motorists. Alternate routes include Dehart to Swamp Roads and Lexington to Lakeshore Roads. A temporary signal will be in place at Lakeshore and Lexington Roads and will be activated at 10 a.m., Monday, May 31. Motorists are encouraged to plan their commute as delays are expected.

No through access will be permitted along the Mission Creek Greenway at Gordon Drive during construction. Contact the Regional District of Central Okanagan for alternate accesses at www.regionaldistrict.com.
